Daftar Nominasi Razzie Awards 2016

Sehari sebelum Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences atau Oscars mengumumkan daftar nominasinya, ajang penghargaan untuk film dan akting terburuk, Razzie Award, sudah lebih dulu mengumumkan daftar nominasinya. Beberapa film yang mendapat banyak kritik negatif selama tahun 2015, seperti Fantastic Four, Fifty Shades of Grey, dan Jupiter Ascending masuk dalam daftar calon penerima Razzie Awards untuk Film Terburuk.

Selain itu, Pixels dan Paul Bart: Mall Cop 2 meraih nominasi Razzie Awards paling banyak, yakni masing-masing mendapat enam nominasi. Adapun aktor film Mortdecai, Johnny Depp, menjadi nomine Aktor Terburuk Razzie Awards. Deep ditemani oleh Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey), Kevin James (Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2), Adam Sandler (The Cobbler & Pixels), dan Channing Tatum (Jupiter Ascending).

Razzie Awards juga mempunyai kategori Razzie Redeemer Award untuk para pemenang Razzie Awards tahun-tahun sebelumnya, tapi dinilai menunjukkan prestasi bagus pada tahun 2015. Dalam kategori ini muncul nama Elizabeth Banks yang sukses dengan film Pitch Perfect 2, M. Night Shyamalan yang dinilai berprestasi melalui film The Visit, Will Smith yang dinilai berprestasi melalui film Concussion, dan Sylvester Stallone yang menghidupkan kembali karakter Rocky Balboa melalui film Creed.

Razzie Awards, yang mempunyai nama resmi The Golden Raspberry Awards ini, pertama kali digelar pada tahun 1980 oleh seorang copywriter dan publisis bernama John J. B. Wilson.
