Ketika lagu ini rilis pada bulan Oktober 1995. Gue masih sekitar kelas 3 SD. Dan pada era itu jujur selera musik gue masih didominasi oleh lagu-lagu Indonesia dan boyband. Jadi ya kala itu gue gak tahu sama sekali keberadaan ‘Wonderwall’ milik Oasis ini.
Barulah sekitar akhir SMP dan awal SMA gue mengetahui lagu ini. Dan ya kala itu gue suka banget dengan ‘Wonderwall’ ini. Lagunya memiliki komposisi dan style bermusik yang sangat simpel. Dan Liam Gallagher pun menyanyikannya dengan sangat “seenaknya saja.”
Menjadi Lagu Multi-Generasi
Nah dengan kedua aspek tersebutlah. Alhasil gak membutuhkan waktu lama bagi ‘Wonderwall’ untuk menjadi lagu favorit untuk digenjreng dengan gitar.
Apalagi jika ketika memainkannya bersama teman-teman atau orang ramai. Dijamin lokasi tempat kita berada langsung berubah menjadi tempat karaokean masal. Bahkan nih. Lagu ini sampai sekarang masih sering dimainkan oleh generasi saat ini.
