Ninja Gaiden 4 will continue the story from the previous series, meaning players do not need to play Ninja Gaiden 1 through 3 to enjoy this game.
This latest series introduces a new character named Yakumo as the main protagonist. This character is here to help new players more easily enter the world of Ninja Gaiden.

For longtime fans, Ryu Hayabusa is still present in this game. The series successfully combines nostalgic elements with a new approach that is friendly to novice players. This story design choice is clearly a plus because it can reach two types of players at once.
Ninja Gaiden 4 uses the Platinum Engine, which is similar to that used in famous hack and slash games such as Bayonetta, Nier Automata, and Granblue Fantasy Relink. This engine is known for its ability to produce fluid animations and sharp visuals.
After playing for 40 minutes, I could immediately feel the visual quality. The attack animations are very smooth, and the slash, blood, and explosion effects look cool and satisfying.
The character designs are modern and detailed, with an atmosphere that supports the brutal feel while remaining visually clean.
