The Amazon Prime Video series, The Boys Season 4, has released its latest announcement. This time, they announced that actor Simon Pegg (Hughie Campbell’s father) will return in the fourth season of the show.
But the surprises don’t stop there. Because besides Pegg, there are three other new names who will also appear in The Boys Season 4 later. They are Elliot Knight, Rob Benedict, and Rosemarie DeWitt. Interestingly, this last name is announced to play the role of Hughie Campbell’s mother. Well, surely we are more curious about what her role will be like.
Other New Cast Members Joining The Boys’ Fourth Season
Through all their official social media. The Boys Season 4 officially announced the return of Simon Pegg as Hugh Campbell Sr., the adoptive father of Hughie (Jack Quaid). As well as three new names namely Rob Benedict, Elliot Knight, and Rosemarie DeWitt.
In the official announcement, they did not provide clarity on what role Ellio & Benedict will play in The Boys Season 4. While the exception is for Rosemarie DeWitt. Where the team announced that the 51-year-old actress will play the role of Hughie’s mother, whose name is not yet known.
The joining of Rob Benedict, Elliot Knight, and Rosemarie DeWitt adds to the ranks of the new cast present in the fourth season of the series. After previously The Boys had also announced three names namely Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Susan Heyward, and Valorie Curry. Both Susan & Valorie will become new Supes named Sister Cage & Firecracker. While the role of Jeffrey Dean Morgan is still a mystery until this article is published.
Rosemarie DeWitt’s Acting Career Before The Boys
Quoting the IMDb page, the name Rosemarie DeWitt is indeed an actress who has a good career history in a number of television series projects. She started her active career in the series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as a guest player in 1999.
After that, she began to get regular roles in a number of projects, both television series and films. Such as Cinderella Man (2005) as Sara, the television series Standoff (2006-2007) as Emily Lehman. And many more. You might be familiar with Laura in La La Land (2016).
