Nah di tahun 2009, gaung mereka mulai lumayan terdengar ke rana mainstream. Hal ini dikarenakan band yang digawangi oleh vokalis Ben Gibbard ini sukes didapuk untuk menjadi pengisi soundtrack utama dari sekuel film Twilight (2008), The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009).
Dan kerennya ketika ditunjuk, Ben cs langsung menciptakan dan mengerjakan lagunya. Alias tidak sekedar “comot” dari salah satu lagu yang sudah ada di album mereka.
Lalu lebih kerennya lagi nih, lirik lagunya yang berjudul ‘Meet Me on the Equinox’ tersebut, baik Ben maupun gitaris Chris Walla, belum sepenuhnya membaca semua novel Twilight-nya.
