Para pemenang Oscar 2020 telah diumumkan oleh Academy of Motion Picture Art and Sains. Tahun ini merupakan tahun kedua berturut-turut Academy memutuskan untuk melangsungkan pertunjukan tanpa host. Hal ini karena mendapatkan sambutan hangat dan kenaikan peringkat dari acara Oscar sebelumnya pada tahun 2019.
Dari segi film komik, ini menjadi malam yang besar bagi Joker. Film yang disutradarai Todd Phillips ini berhasil masuk 11 nominasi, termasuk penghargaan tertinggi acara dalam Best Picture.
Selain Joker, hanya ada satu film komik lainnya yang masuk nominasi Oscar, yaitu Avengers: Endgame (Best Visual Effects).
